To those of you who didn't know how important you are in making the basketball season go successful for my family you are very important to me. I have to first thank my parents and my sister. I would throw numerous ideas at you about selling stuff, making stuff and doing stuff for the team you never once told me to back off or that my ideas were bad. To my mom I thank you for your countless hours of sewing, gluing, and cooking for my projects. Your willingness to try new things like parades and craft shows amaze me. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. To my dad I thank you for all of your electronic devices you so graciously let me borrow and use for the team. The number of hours spent recording and editing could never be repayed. I also thank you for the use of all of your tables, tents and various ropes we have borrowed. To my sister I thank you for cooking and crafting with me and for not telling me my ideas were stupid even though I had a few wild ones I only shared with you.
Next I need to thank my in-laws. Not only have you allowed us to live in your camper this past year but you have been to every basketball game during the season. You have let the boys and myself ride to all the long distance games and have sat beside us during every game. Not to mention
To my family as a whole, THANK YOU for helping me with the Old Timers game and with the Pecan Festival. Both were huge projects that could not have been done without your help and positive attitudes.
I'd like to thank the ladies in the concesion stand and ticket booth. Your hours of making hotdogs, popcorn and nachos have not been ignored. We would not have had supper many nights had no one been there to make us hotdogs.
To our principal and assistant principal thank you for supporting my husband and the team he coaches.
To the players parents and relatives thank you for supporting the team and for selling tickets for a fundraiser for your kids. Your participation was crucial for our fundraising success.
To Mrs. Nikki you know who you are, thank you for helping me with projects and for running the Old Timers game and Little Ballers team. We had so much success with these projects and they couldn't have been done without you.
A special thank you goes out to all of the little kids, players and random strangers that allowed my kids to eat your popcorn, throw a ball at you or sit beside you at the game. My boys love meeting people and you never once shooed them away even when they had stinky diapers.
To the team thank you for playing hard for my husband. You are the team he started with in middle school when he was first hired as a coach and you mean a lot to my husband, my boys and myself. You are a special group and we are proud of you and support you all the way.
To my husband thank you for being a coach so that I can share the joy you have when you win a game or a player has a good play. Thank you for letting me try my crazy fundraising ideas and projects on the team. Thank you for being a coach so I can be a coach's wife.
This season may be over but a new one will soon begin. Thank you to all in advance for next year because I'll still need your help in the future.

Love this. Probably because I was always "the coach's daughter." Now I have "the coach's grandsons." My dad recently retired and it really did feel like a little part of who I am was taken away. That sounds totally rediculous to write down, but I think you will get it. At the end of the day though, everyone still calls me "the coach's daughter" so I guess some things really never change. Thank the Lord!
What did your dad coach? I'd love to know what your family did for the players that was special for them!
