Ooh Little Grasshoffer!

My 2 year old, Everett, loves frogs . Everything is a frog to him. He has a t-shirt that has a green pea with arms and legs on it and reads "Give peas a chance" and he calls it his frog shirt. We have little green tree frogs that stick to our camper door and when the porch light is on you can see their silhouette thru the window. Everett loves to see them. From the moment he spots one until he gets distracted by something else of course is non stop " go see frog, go see frog, SEE FROG!"  Basically Everett gets really excited to see a frog. Until this morning.

He has found a new creature I believe he loves just as much. A grasshoffer. No I didn't spell it wrong that's how Everett says the word. Cute right? We spotted one at the barn this morning and I called him over to see it and he of course called it a frog. I told him it wasn't a frog but a grasshopper. And in his cutest high pitched 2 year old voice he said " Ooh little grasshoffer!" He followed the grasshopper around for the whole 3 minutes it was under the barn calling it a "grasshoffer" and then we lost him in the grass. But we are looking forward to finding more. I just like to hear him say the word grasshoffer, it makes me smile.
