(Tough looking group right? Yes, Everett is wearing an elastic belt on his head. Don't ask!)
Well I guess you could say we have a family creed now and the boys have what I call theme songs. I'm sure most have heard the Kenny Chesney song "The Boys of Fall. " Well my boys sure have. We have it saved on dvr and listen too it at least once in the morning and once at night if not more times through out our day. Coach got the boys hooked. So now Jackson sings it and will come up to you and point his finger and say "if you mess with one man you got us all!" Which brings me to our family creed. Coach has trained the boys to say this, " Don't mess with them Welch boys. You mess with one man you got us all!"
Now on to the boys theme songs. I'm sure every little kid has one. Jackson has gone through a few. The one song they sing over and over and want to hear played over and over. Jackson first started out with Toy Story's "You got a Friend in Me." Ultimate classic to me. He will still sing it given the right mood. The next song he had was by Bob Marley "Three Little Birds" or the part we sing the most " Don't worry 'bout a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright." Totally love this song. Never thought we would be Bob Marley fans but he's got some really cool songs. Currently, Jackson's theme song is "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. When I say theme song maybe I should say run out song. This kid makes a grand entrance when this song is played. He absolutely loves it! We listen to it every morning before school and he gets so pumped up when he hears this song, it's hilarious. Really, who doesn't like this song? It was one of my personal favorites in high school. Did I mention it is the perfect leg guitar song?
Everett's theme song is a different story. Since he is only two he hasn't had the list of songs like Jackson. He doesn't even really sing. Everett LOVES music and LOVES to dance or just chill when he listens to music. But if you want him to sing just turn up "Who Let the Dogs Out!" Funny right? You will very rarely hear Everett sing, he won't do it, a little shy I guess. But he definitely chimes in when the dogs bark.
What are mine and Coach's theme songs you ask? Well right now Coach was listening to "God Bless the Working Man" by Alan Jackson pretty regular. Him and Jackson actually sing the song together as a duet. No really, they sing this song as a duet, each with their own part. I'm currently stuck on "Fifteen" by Taylor Swift. Old I know, but stuck in my head a lot, yes. I love how our family can be silly when we listen to music. To see the boys eyes light up when a song they love is being played is truly a joy to watch.
