Connie Cow

Each week at school Jackson learns a new letter of the alphabet along with the sound it makes. The letter is matched with an animal and the song is sung with corresponding words to match the letter. For example the very first song he learned was:
 Alexander alligator,
Alexander alligator,
A says ah,
ah, ah, ah,
apple, Adam, Africa,
astronaut and acrobat
 A says ah,
ah, ah, ah.

Each week Coach and I are excited when he comes home with a new letter because we always try to guess what the name of the next animal will be. We are usually wrong.

Well we aren't the only ones excited to hear the new song for the week. Up until now Everett has been pretty quiet when it comes to singing. Little did we know he has been soaking it all in. I overheard him singing this the other day:

Connie Cow,
Connie Cow,
C says /k/,
/k/, /k/, /k/.

I squealed with excitement and he sang me another verse
Connie Horse,
Connie Horse,
C says/k/,
/k/, /k/, /k/

Ok, well I thought to myself he's doing good to pick up on that. He just likes to name the horse Connie. Well then yesterday he was singing this:

Connie Boobie,
Connie Boobie!

What! He can't say that! Of course I laughed and told Coach to listen to him. Well, that added fuel to the fire, then later in the day he sang:

Connie Toilet,
Connie Toilet!

Silly man. Of course Jackson has chimed in with his rendition of the letter C. But it doesn't end there. This morning we were playing in the living room and Everett was just a giggling and I listened closer he was singing and laughing this:

Connie Doodie,
Connie Doodie!

Great. Just Great. I just pray Jackson doesn't try to sing these songs at school!
