Jackson had an official "Farm Day" at school way back in November. He got to dress up like a farmer and wear a hat and bandanna to school. Well I didn't tell him about the big day until the night before and he was so excited he couldn't stand the wait. That night at supper I asked him to give us a good ole farmer blessing and this is what he said:
"Dear Lord God,
I sure do thank you for lettin' it be farmer day at my school cause I sure do want to wear my farmer hat and farmer shirt. Thank you Lord God, Amen."
If you have never heard a prayer from the heart this little man sure said one. I know God smiled (if not chuckle) at that moment to hear such a sweet sincere blessing.
As a side note we had been having the boys say the blessing at the different meal times but it was always a memorized blessing and that night was the first blessing Jackson said that wasn't memorized but instead straight from his heart.
Here is another shot of that good looking farmer:

Love the blessing! We should take lessons from kids! They can be SO sincere!
