Well this week was supposed to have been spectacular! It was going to be dedicated to Coach and his love of basketball since it is after all playoffs around here.
But wouldn't you know an old nasty virus has made its way back into our house. Yep. Man down. and this time it's Coach. Insert big frowny face here.
Let me rewind a few weeks. First, I got the throw up, diarrhea virus during the week I was supposed to be getting ready for my bestie's baby shower, that was an early February Wednesday. Well, then come that Friday and Jackson decided to get the same virus.
Fast forward until last Thursday night when we are at a playoff game a looong way away from home when Everett decides to get the virus and then throw up all over the basketball court. That story is too good to tell now. I shall save it.
Welcome back to the present. Before bed Coach was saying he didn't feel too well. Of course, I asked him if he was nervous about the big game. Well, his reply, "I don't get nervous." Plainly stated. No if's, and's or but's. I thought sure. It's your nerves. Well he goes to bed before anybody else. then he quickly gets up after everybody else has gone to bed, lol. He's been hit! I've got my main man down!
I really only want to tell this story because what happens next is typical of our household, so it's funny but it could have turned ugly.
Of course Coach is sick and I mean every letter of the word s-i-c-k. When I realize I just robbed the guest bathroom of the last roll of toilet paper in the house. Huh? Really? Yep. So when I caught a break in the action I told Coach that maybe I should run to the store cause that's the last toilet paper and we have no lysol or Gatorade.
He tells me to GO. The Dollar Store is only a few minutes from the house but by now its almost 10:00 pm. Closing time! So I am flooring it down the driveway to get to the store. I get there 5 till 10. In the clear! They let me in to get my supplies and I hurry back to the house. When after meeting my brother-in-law in the driveway I notice I have a missed call from my sister-in-law. She was checking on us cause my brother-in-law saw a supicious vehicle leaving our house pretty fast and he didn't see either one of our vehicles. I'm grateful he was checking on us but I was giggling cause if he only had known.
So please pardon the interruption while life hands us another hurdle to jump. I promise I have some good posts lined up. But all of this throwing up has gotten me a little worn out, lol.
