The other day when we woke up from our Sunday nap we went outside to play. We were sitting on the porch putting our shoes on when I looked up and saw not one but two rainbows in our back yard! A double rainbow! Could you believe our luck. So I ran inside to grab my camera and when I came out I noticed not only was there a double rainbow but it was a whole rainbow right over our house!
As I ran barefooted out in the field to take a picture of the rainbow it just grew too large for my camera lens to capture. I then decided to run get the truck keys and take off down the driveway to try and get a better picture. As I was doing so the rainbow started to fade. Bummer! But at least I got a few shots. It's really amazing to me that we had a whole rainbow over our home. It was a sweet moment to reflect on God's magnificence.
On a side note when I was putting the pictures together Ray Charles' version of the song "Over the Rainbow" was in my head. It's a pretty good version if you have a minute to listen.
