Well Lately it's been one thing after another. Which I have so been blessed to call my life.
We have all been sick with the Welch Flu, we have been on vacation, Coach's back has gone out, Jackson made a trip to the ER and Everett has been stung by a wasp. Isn't life grand!
I would gladly do it all over again to not go through what most people go through in their daily lives.
I guess Jackson is now christened into boyhood. He has made an official visit to the ER to get staples. Why you ask?
Because of this:
This little beauty happened in the shower. The boys had just gotten a haircut and were in the shower when something happened and the result ended in both the boys coming out crying covered in blood. Apparently they fell and Jackson hit his head on the shower floor and Everett landed on top of him.
Everett is okay and so is Jackson, now.
Funny how things happen in a split second. One moment could have changed every event that happened that night.
When we finally got some of our wits about us and were trying to get the boys dressed to go to the hospital Everett said " Brother, messed up new haircut?"
Yep, I would say he did.
Off we went to the ER dropping Everett off first at Pa and Nana's for the night.
The ER wait wasn't too bad we were seen fairly quickly and then the doctor came ready to staple.
My big boy got two staples with no numbing medicine! What a tough guy! He didn't even cry. He made a crazy face but he didn't shed a tear.
The doctor even let him staple some gauze together.
On the way out of the ER Jackson said, "I bet Everett is sittin up at Pa's watching Tom and Jerry."
It makes me smile to know that his only care in this world is that his brother was getting to watch cartoons and he wasn't.
Don't worry, even though it was really late we got a quick box of chicken nuggets and watched an episode or two of Tom and Jerry before going to bed.

Glad to see Jackson survived with his priorities intact :-) Cole fell in the tub when he was younger than Everett is now and the two bottom teeth that he was sporting at the time punctured his upper lip causing him to bleed like a stuck pig. It looked worse than it was, what with all that blood, but he recovered in short order. See you at Thanksgiving.
