Just Do It !

When Everett was younger and weighed a lot less it was always a ritual for me to get him out of the bath tub and wrap him in a hooded towel and hold him like a baby. I would always says those exact words when I picked him up, "Ooh, let me hold you like a baby!" Everett would always giggle and let me swaddle him like a baby.

Well now that he is older any time I get him out of the bath he says "Hold me like a baby!" Of course I do. The other night I was oh soo tired and tried to hurry through the bath with as little effort as possible when Everett says to me "Hold me like a baby!" I told him "No sweetie, not tonight mommy's too tired." Everett didn't crack a smile or anything, he says in his little man voice, "Just do it."

Really? Did a two year old just say this to me? Well, I was in such shock I wrapped him up like a baby anyway and toted him into the living room. I still can't believe how he said it. Reading this doesn't do it justice. Everett is really something else.
