Many perks of being my Coach's wife is the fact that I can experiment my craftiness on the basketball team all I want and with his approval share the awesome results with the team.
Typically, we give the team goodie bags at the first of the season, for the first home game, before a big rivalry game or for homecoming.
Normally, I do most of my crafty prints on Microsoft Publisher. This time I took a basketball clip art picture and inserted a text box with a quote I found on the Internet.
This quote says " A team above All, above all a Team."
I adjusted the colors like I wanted and decided to print this little beauty on photo paper just in case the fellas wanted it for a keepsake. Once printed I cut the basketball out by hand. No handy dandy puncher on this one, lol.
I always have a stash of those clear plastic party favor bags and I stuffed the basketball on the inside to one side. The rest of the bag is filled with shredded colored paper, blue, orange and white of course. I also put some candy in the bag, it's a goodie bag of course.
Candy selection is always a big deal to me. Because I love candy so much I try to coordinate my selection. I try not to put chocolates with sweet tarts or anything flavored peppermint with certain candies because if they sit too long together the flavors get all weird. Any who, this year we had some candy left over from the parade the basketball team was in so that's what they got in their homecoming goodie bags.
