You want one, you know you do : )
I recently saw this idea at Cute as a Fox and thought this would be perfect for Jackson's teachers. Being the crafty girl I am I knew I wanted to totally make this immediately! I headed to the Dollar Tree and got my supplies.
Here is the supply list:
Ramekin sauce bowls (three pack)
Box of Hot Tamales for each apple (or red jelly beans or red M&M's)
Silk leaves or green ribbon
Skewer
Plastic wrap or Ziploc bag
Pull out a section of plastic wrap and dump the whole box of Hot Tamales candy in the middle. Then pick up the corners and twist the plastic wrap together and sit the candy in the cute bowl. Next break your skewer to the desired length of the stem you want. I then pushed my leaves over the skewer, they were attached together with a hole in the middle. In my opinion it fit perfectly. Then jab the skewer with leaves into the top of the candy. There you go!
Just a little side note, don't leave the candy in your vehicle during your lunch hour because it will melt, just saying!
I think this would be perfect for any family that has several kids in school or a kid that has several teachers they like. I think maybe this cost me about $1.50 per apple to make. You know you can't stand it! You wish you were a teacher so you would have an excuse to make one!
