I had a morning full of giggles and thought I would share with you:
We were getting ready for school and since it's cold I try to get Jackson to wear as many layers as possible and I asked him to put his long sleeved shirt on under his polo. His response, "I don't want too! I always sweat like a dog when I wear too many shirts!" My response was "Really dude? You always sweat like a dog?" He says "Yes! Always!"
On the way to school we have been attempting some math problems. So far so good with addition. So I mixed it up today and did a lesser than greater than question. Remember he is four and I am a child at heart so I am silly with my questions but hey math is math right?
Me: If you have 3 boogers and Everett has 4 boogers who has more boogers?
Jackson: Daddy. (he says this with the straightest face, this was his honest answer)
Too funny! I laughed out loud on this one and tried to correct him . I reminded him who was actually in the question and then he got the correct answer, Everett.
I threw around a few more of these problems and then decided maybe he could try a little subtraction.
Me: If I had 5 jellybeans and gave you 2 jellybeans how many do I have left?
Jackson: Are they in a jar?
Me: Uhh, sure.
Jackson: You have 3!
Are you kidding me? Laughed out loud again on this one too. He was so sincere though. I don't know what the jar had to do with it but at least he got it right.
